The Bangladesh Jeweller’s Association (BAJUS) has hoped that BAJUS Fair-2024, the largest exposition of the country’s jewellery sector, will play a vital role in giving a boost to the domestic jewellery industry as well as creating a new position in the global market.
Besides, the familiarity of new modern-design ornaments made by the country’s goldsmiths will increase through the event, the association said in a press conference on Thursday.
The press conference was organised at the BAJUS office at Bashundhara City Shopping Complex in Dhaka on the occasion of the three-day BAJUS Fair-2024, set to begin on 8 February.
The fair is going to be held for the third time under the leadership of BAJUS President Sayem Sobhan Anvir with a view to implementing successfully the Vision-2041 of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina.
This year, the theme of the fair is “Shonay Biniyog, Bhobishshoter Shanchay” (Investment in gold, savings for the future).
Beginning at 10am, the expo will continue until 9pm every day at Hall-4 of the International Convention City Bashundhara (ICCB) in the capital. The entry fee has been fixed at Tk100, but children aged up to five years will not require any tickets.
Alongside the fair, the BAJUS Jewellery Summit-2024 will also be organised at the venue. Ten seminars will be held at the summit.
Some 41 renowned jewellery companies of the country will showcase their products and services in nine pavilions, 17 mini pavilions, and 15 stalls.
