Bangladesh Jeweler’s Association (BAJUS) President Sayem Sobhan Anvir has brought all jewellers throughout the country under the umbrella of a single authority, said central leaders of the organisation.
Jewellers are now feeling proud of gold businesses due to the prudent leadership of Sayem Sobhan Anvir, they said at a view-exchange meeting at Mehran Convention Hall in Maijdee area of Noakhali on Friday.
Speaking on the occasion, Dr Dilip Kumar Roy, former president of BAJUS said, “BAJUS President Sayem Sobhan Anvir has fulfilled the dream of jewellers. All jewellers are now doing business maintaining standards of products in a disciplined way, as the gold traders are united under the leadership of Sayem Sobhan Anvir.”
Dr Dilip Kumar Roy was the chief guest while district unit President Samir Karmakar chaired the event.
Dr Dilip lauded the role of Sayem Sobhan Anvir for uniting over 40,000 members of the organisation across the country.
He urged the jewellers to elect Sayem Sobhan Anvir president of the organisation again so the jewellery industry continues to flourish.
Jewellery industry in Bangladesh has been transformed in the last one year under the prudent leadership of its President Sayem Sobhan Anvir, he said.
BAJUS Vice-president Reponul Hasan and executive member Pabitra Chandra Ghosh and Ikbal Uddin and standing committee member Pronob Shaha were special guests while member secretary Jahangir Alam Bablu moderated the programme.
Business leaders in Noakhali expressed gratitude to BAJUS President Sayem Sobhan Anvir for taking such a unique initiative to unite all members.
At the end of the meeting, the central leaders hosted a banquet with the jewellery traders of Noakhali region. Before this, a cultural programme was held.
