Bangladesh Jewellers Association (BAJUS) led by its President and Bashundhara Group Managing Director Sayem Sobhan Anvir will contribute to flourishing national economy.
This was said by BAJUS Vice President Dr Dewan Aminul Islam Shahin at a view exchange with Rangamati unit leaders and stakeholders at a district convention centre on Friday.
“Being largest business conglomerate, Bashundhara Group is working for welfare of the country and its people. Besides, BAJUS is working on many reforms agendas to flourish the jewellery sector alongside measures to stop harassment of gold traders," he said.
He said the organisation also wants to bring about transparency in the jewellery business across the country.
Rangamati district unit acting president Mridul Dhar presided over the view exchange which was addressed by BAJUS executive members Pabitra Chandra Ghosh, Ripnul Hasan and BAJUS Chattogram division member Pranab Saha.
“Indiscipline took a heavy toll on gold industry in the past. Harassment of customers on the part of a section of unscrupulous jewellers put credibility of the business in question. Under the Presidency of Sayem Sobhan Anvir, BAJUS is working to reform the sector for economic strides of the country," he said.
He suggested the gold traders to build strong resistance against gold smuggling.
