Jewellery business is booming in the country under leadership of Bangladesh Jewellers’ Association (BAJUS) President Sayem Sobhan Anvir.
This was said by BAJUS Vice-President Anwar Hossain in a view exchange meeting with leaders of the Jhenaidah unit of the organisation at District Shilpakala Academy auditorium on Wednesday.
He attended the programme as the chief guest while BAJUS Jhenaidah president Pancharesh Chandra Poddar presided over it. Sadhan Sarkar, General Secretary of Jhenaidah Jewellery Association, moderated the event.
Hailing from six upazilas of Jhenaidah district, jewellers joined the meeting.
Liton Hawlader, Assistant Secretary of BAJUS, Uttam Banik, Treasurer, Ripnul Hasan, member of BAJUS central committee and member secretary of Standing Committee on Law and Membership, and Rakibul Islam Chowdhury, member of Standing Committee on District Monitoring, were present as the special guests.
“The current revolution in the gold business in our country has been appreciated across the globe. As per guidelines of our President Sayem Sobhan Anvir, we are holding meetings in every district to encourage grassroots goldsmiths and bring collective change in the sector,” BAJUS Vice-President Anwar Hossain added.
