Leaders of Bangladesh Jewellers Samity (BAJUS) have hailed firm determination of the organisation’s President and Bashundhara Group Managing Director Sayem Sobhan Anvir to bring back lost heritage of the gold business.
They were addressing Khulna Divisional Representatives’ Meeting-2022 organised by BAJUS at the auditorium of Sheikh Hasina Software Technology Park in Jashore on Wednesday.
Dr Dilip Kumar Roy, former President of BAJUS and Chairman of BAJUS District Monitoring Standing Committee, was the chief guest at the programme.
Rakibul Islam Chowdhury, president of Jashore district unit and head of Khulna division of BAJUS, presided over it.
Vice presidents Gulzar Ahmed, Anwar Hossain, and Dr Dewan Aminul Islam, and law and membership vice-chairman Masudur Rahman, and member secretary of Monitoring of District Organisation Joynal Abedin Khokon spoke as the special guests.
Speaking on the occasion, Dr Dilip Kumar Roy said “Our principal objective is to bring all jewelers under the umbrella of BAJUS. Acting on the instruction of organisation’s president Sayem Sobhan Anvir, the new committee is holding meetings across the country to forge unity.”
BAJUS President Sayem Sobhan Anvir is constructing Asia’s biggest gold industry in the country in order to produce pure gold, he opined.
“New President of BAJUS is showing us the ray of hope. If the dream comes true, Bangladesh will see a turnaround. Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina is business friendly. She presented the nation with a gold policy. As such, the largest factory is going to be constructed. When the industry goes into operation, Bangladesh will be able to export gold.”
