Jewellery industry of Bangladesh has changed a lot due to effective steps taken by Bangladesh Jewellers' Association (BAJUS) President and Bashundhara Group Managing Director Sayem Sobhan Anvir.

This was said by the central leaders of the organisation at a view exchange meeting with Cumilla unit office bearers and stakeholders at the district on Friday.

Elaborating the steps, they said Sayem Sobhan Anvir would like to pull the jewellery industry up to the international standard.

Central leaders said to have been proud of getting Sayem Sobhan Anvir as President of BAJUS.

They suggested the gold traders to continue business with honesty and sincerity, cautioning that anybody attempting to damage reputation of the sector will not get off scot-free.

Anwar Hossain, Vice-President of BAJUS and Vice-Chairman of Standing Committee on District Monitoring, attended the programme as the chief guest while Shah Md Alamgir Khan, President of Cumilla unit, presided over it.
